Orientation

Everything has a place, and every place has a job.

The interface is organized like a production desk: fast access above, book structure at left, contextual tools at right, and the active work in the center.

The surface you are looking at

Title bar
Shows the book title, save state, AutoSave, quick actions, command search, and appearance theme.
Ribbon
Groups actions by the kind of work you are doing: Home, Insert, Layout, References, Review, View, Book, and Publish.
Navigation
Shows the reading order and lets you select, rename, move, or delete sections without losing the rest of the book.
Task Pane
Hosts Find, Styles, Properties, Book, Notes, and References when those tools need to stay beside the page.
Status bar
Reports the active view, section, words, page count, recovery state, language, and zoom.
Whole-manuscript Draft view in OYAMA Scribe
Draft view gives the manuscript room to breathe while preserving section context and navigation.

Command search is the fastest route

Press Ctrl+K and type what you want to do: “page setup”, “notes”, “manuscript overview”, “export PDF”, or “check for updates”. Search is designed around intent, so you do not need to remember which ribbon tab contains an action.

Make the workspace yours

  • Hide Navigation when you need a wider writing surface.
  • Open Notes or Properties in the Task Pane instead of losing your place in a modal dialog.
  • Use Focus mode for a distraction-free writing session.
  • Adjust zoom from the status bar; page proof and Draft view preserve their own useful scale.
  • Switch between Light, Ebook Paper, Dark, and System themes from the title bar.
Keyboard habit

Ctrl+K is a better long-term habit than hunting through tabs. It also makes less-used production tools discoverable.
